Hon. Shri Y.D.Mane (Anna) was born & brought up in the fatherhood of Late. Shri. Dinkarrao Ramchandra Mane Alias Dada. The reputed teacher and disciplinarian, a staunch activist of Satyashodhak Movement started by Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.
Hon. Shri Anna, a teacher at bones, and active politician for sometimes, a social reformer, an entrepreneur by birth an educationist, a great visionary is the founder of the Kagal Education Society Graduated from the coveted Ferguson College, Pune the took up teaching as a career in which he chanced to work with reputed scientist Dr.Vasant Govarikar. But his spirit of entrepreneurship made him give up teaching and laydown foundation of the Kagal Education Society.
As an active politician he assumed the post of president at Taluka Congress Committee and then became the President of Kagal Municipal, Council. A few of his decisions during the small tenure as president served as landmark in the all-round development of town of Kagal.
His yearning for education made him quote active politics and devote himself fully to the cause of education. He undertook different educational endeavours worth the commitment to provide education to student from rural area of the Kagal. Particularly he inclined to impart job oriented Courses to students to earn their livelihood for self-reliance. Consequently, he established Socio-agricultural and educational institutions of national importance and repute.
However, it is noteworthy that he struggled hard to establish the institutions devoid of any substantial financial support from outside. His struggle is an indication of his determined spirit and commitment to the cause of socio-economic and educational advancement of the society.
KES is an eloquent testimony to the vision, motivation and labour of Honourable Shri Y. D. Mane. His zeal, dedication and infinite energy always inspire and motivate others to collective efforts. This is the spirit of Shri. Y. D. Mane, which in turn has become the Spirit of KES.
It gives me immense pleasure to write about ‘The Kagal Education Society, Kagal’- KES. The Kagal Education Society, is a pioneer in education since 1960.It’s my sincere gratitude to late Shri. Y. D. Mane (Anna) for laying such a strong educational hub in Kagal. This has facilitated thousands of students from Kagal and nearby areas to acquire quality education. It has also leaded a strong foundation for the development of social, agricultural and educational structure of the KES.
We strongly believe in overall development of our students. KES strives to incorporate knowledge with wisdom, life skills, values, physical and mental development and co-curricular activities which helps student to survive in the competitive world of globalization. I ensure to provide our students the best educational platform that leads student to accept day to day challenges in this competitive world.
